What mom are you?

I friend of mine posted this and I had to share. It’s rich with God centered wisdom and a must read.

Super Mom vs. Abiding Mom
A friend of mine, who encourages me and supports me in prayer, sent the following to me recently. I wanted to share it here, in hopes that others would be encouraged on the path of motherhood.

A super mom tries to impress others. An abiding mom pleases the Lord. Ephesians 5:10 and Proverbs 29:25

A super mom’s self-worth is found in her accomplishments. An abiding mom’s self-worth is found in an accurate view of who she is in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:10

A super mom’s peace is found in the “perfect” environment. An abiding mom’s peace is found in Jesus in the midst of any storm. Isaiah 26:3

A super mom is discouraged by failure. An abiding mom’s failures remind her that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness. II Corinthians 12:9-10

A super mom expects perfection from herself and others. An abiding mom practices grace with herself and others. Ephesians 4:32

A super mom teaches her kids to be good. An abiding mom teaches her kids to be Godly. Proverbs 22:6

A super mom is frustrated with her lack of spiritual fruit. An abiding mom abides in Christ and bears much fruit. John 15:5

A super mom does things with her children. An abiding mom builds a relationship with her children. Deuteronomy 6:6-7

A super mom’s perspective is based on what is seen. An abiding mom’s perspective is based on what is unseen. Colossians 3:2

A super mom chooses quantity of activities. An abiding mom chooses the most excellent Way. I Corinthians 13

A super mom’s kids may recall how busy she always is. An abiding mom’s children rise up and call her blessed. Proverbs 31:28
